Concert For All Ages

Friday, March 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

Sarah Hart is one of the leading figures in contemporary Catholic music today.  Singer, song-writer and producer, Sarah’s dynamic energy, sense of humor and deep faith make her concerts, keynote presentations and retreats unforgettable experience.  All are invited to this free concert.

In October of 2013, Sarah was invited perform for Pope Francis and a crowd of 150,000 in St. Peter’s Square. Sarah’s songs have been covered by Amy Grant, Celtic Women, Matt Maher, Jason Crabb and The Newsboys.  Grant’s recording of Sarah’s “Better than a Hallelujah” earned a Best Gospel Song Grammy Nomination.  She boasts nine albums as a solo artist, including Til the Song is Sung and Above Earth’s Lamentations.

Sarah lives in Nashville with her husband and two daughters.

 

Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra

Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Kaplan Parish Hall

Join us for the second concert of the season with the Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra.  Guest pianist, Beatrice Soderberg of New York will perform with the orchestra "Concerto No. 1 in C Minor" by Dmitri Shostakovich.  The free concert will also include the "Brandenburg Concerto No. 2" by J.S. Bach.

Trinity Organ Series

Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Christopher Martin, Director of Music and Organist at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Richmond VA will perform.  Reception following.

As Director of Music he leads the church's music ministry which includes three singing choirs, a handbell choir, and an annual concert series.  Christopher holds a Master of Sacred Music degree in organ performance from Boston University's School of Theology and a Bachelor of Music degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.  Having performed extensively throughout the East Coast as a concert organist, Christopher is also in demand as an organist for numerous choral ensembles throughout the Richmond area.

 

Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra

Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Kaplan Parish Hall

Join us for season closing concert of the Tidewater Intergenerational Orchestra.  The ever popular "Future Artists Concert" includes 13 year old Gale Szczypkowski performing the "Paganini Violin Concerto No. 1".  She will be joined by her triplet siblings in the Vivaldi Concerto.  Don't miss this extraordinary concert featuring extraordinary young people.

Trinity Organ Series

Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Join us for the closing concert of the 8th season's Trinity Organ Series with Cheryl Van Ornam, Traditional Music Director at Redeemer Lutheran Church and Organist at First Church of Christ Scientist, Richmond VA.  In addition, she serves as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University. Reception following.

Her master’s degree in Organ Performance and Church Music is from Northwestern University. She is active with the American Guild of Organists in Chicago, Boston and the Richmond, Virginia Chapter.
