Join us for this month's featured Saint, St. Joseph, to begin the parish celebration of the Year of St. Joseph.  "With the Apostolic Letter “Patris corde” (“With a Father’s Heart”), Pope Francis recalls the 150th anniversary of the declaration of Saint Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church. To mark the occasion, the Holy Father has proclaimed a “Year of Saint Joseph”

Join us for an Hour with Saint Joseph on TUESDAY MARCH 16, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Please register so a zoom link can be sent to you OR join us in person as a limited number can attend in the Walsh Room.  Masks required.

"Pope Francis describes Saint Joseph as a beloved father, a tender and loving father, an obedient father, an accepting father; a father who is creatively courageous, a working father, a father in the shadows." We will be taking a close look at this mysterious saint who played a vital role in the story of the Holy Family. We will look at Saint Joseph as a tradesmen carpenter, a devoted father and husband, and ultimately as a saint. Millions of people in the past two thousand years have had a great devotion to Saint Joseph and with one of his feast days approaching we will also briefly view the way some cultures celebrate this wonderful man and saint.  We will also review the ways in which the faithful may gain plenary indulgences for the year of St. Joseph. Please join us for this insightful look at the adoptive father of the Son of God.

Registration is required.  To registered email or call Janet Hassan.  jhassan@bedeva.org or 757-229-3631 ext. 2314.  Please indicate, your Name, Phone Number, E-mail address, and if you wish to attend in person or on ZOOM.
