Faith Formation & Sacraments Registration

2019 - 2020: Pre-K - 12th Grade

Sunday CFF starts on Sunday, September 15!  Registrations are open until Wed. Sept. 11, 2019.

Below are the updated instructions as of Wed. Sept. 4, 2019

Please follow the steps exactly and you will be able to enjoy the process! Thank you!

Step 1: New User to Parish Soft registration - (This is a ONE TIME-Step 1 to gain access to the system)

  • Go to https://richmond.parishsoftfamilysuite.com/Default.aspx (Right-click and open a new tab or copy and paste into new tab.)
  • Click on “New User?” to create a new account.  Remember your username!
  • Answer all the New User Registration Form questions (Step 1: Account Request, Step 2: Personal Information, and Step 3: Email Address) and click the blue “Submit Registration” box.
  • This sends a request to the parish office, which we approve in the Parish Soft system, to link any information that was already in the database.
  • Once approved, the Parish Soft system will email you with a "temporary password".
  • If you do not receive this email after two business days, please check your Junk mail first,  then contact the Parish Office.
  • You have completed Step 1 and now have a “My Own Church” account in Parish Soft. Thank you!

Step 2: Updating your family information

  •  Once you have received the email with your temporary password, please go back to the link: https://richmond.parishsoftfamilysuite.com/Default.aspx and enter your username.
  • Go to the “My Family” tab and click on the “Family Detail” link.
  • Fill in any missing information in your family’s account, and make necessary updates to existing information. If people are missing from your family, click on the ADD tab to add people to your family, that live within your household.
  • It is important that there are e-mail addresses for each parent/guardian as applicable.

Step 3: Registering children for classes

  • After your personal and family information has been added or corrected, go to the “My Education”  tab and click on the “Online Registration” link.
  • Select “CFF-YM 2019-2020” from the Term dropdown box.
  • Add each of your students individually, by clicking on their grade. Once you click on their grade, a menu of everything available for that grade will show. This does NOT mean that your child will NEED to sign up for everything available, it is only all of the OPTIONS available for THAT SPECIFIC GRADE LEVEL! *Note - "blue/green/orange" options are only the different rooms, in that grade level, there is no specific difference. Teachers have not been assigned to classes, so the class choices are arbitrary.
  • Ensure you include any Special Learning Needs or Health or Medical Needs (include any allergies).  This is very important.
  •  *Sacramental Preparation children only - All children of the parish that need preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, that are at least 7 years old, regardless of where they attend school will need to register for the following:
  •  1.  Choose ONE of the Sac. Prep. Parent Meeting dates, from under the dropdown box, under your children's name(s), as one of the three choices (see example below). Please do not register separately under a “parent name”. The system will not accept it, because the parent does not personally fall under one of the grade level options.
  • 2. Select a set of dates, for the once a month Sacramental Preparation sessions, from under this term dropdown box (see example below)
  • 3. If your child attends public school, select one of the Sunday CFF classroom options, under the term dropdown box (see example below) *Note  - "blue/green/orange" options are only the different rooms, in that grade level, there is no specific difference. Teachers have not been assigned to classes, so the class choices are arbitrary.
  • Per the Diocese of Richmond, children needing preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion must attend Sacramental Preparation along with a weekly faith formation program (either a parish program, private school or home schooled weekly Faith Formation).
  • *NOTE - Children needing Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, that are 5th grade and older-MUST SELECT THE TUESDAY MONTHLY  SESSIONS.

  • Children 7 years of age and older needing Baptism, please contact Michelle Tomshack at mtomshack@bedeva.org for Children's RCIA sessions. This is not available to register for online.
  • Once you have registered all of your children into their specific sessions, click on the blue “Submit Registration” box.  Parish Soft will send an automated email to let you know that the registrations were submitted. After St. Bede Parish closes registrations on Wed. Sept. 11, you will receive an email indicating your child has been assigned a classroom.  This will happen on/by Friday, September 13.

By using this new software, we have been given the ability to invoice each family individually. This invoice will list: Your children(s) name(s), grade, sessions they are registered for, cost breakdown and all payment options. These invoices will start to go out on Friday, Sept.13. If you have any questions, please contact the office at rhipple@bedeva.org or ppalm@bedeva.org.

Thank you for your patience while completing our new registration process.
