Friends for Life
The St. Bede's Friends For Life Ministry is dedicated to promoting and protecting the sanctity of life of all of God's children, born and preborn. We work with compassion and faithfulness through the following means.
PRAYER
The Friends For Life recognize that our efforts will be successful only through God's help and only in His will. Therefore, we begin each meeting with payer for support and guidance. We also gather for Prayer Meetings, pray the Rosary, invite our Parish Family to spiritually adopt preborn babies in danger of abortion, and we celebrate an annual Mass For Life.
LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY
As God's children, we recognize our responsibility to use our voices on behalf of those who have no power. We occasionally encourage petition-signing and phone calls to government representatives on important legislative life issues. We also participate in the Knights of Columbus sponsored annual bus ride to the March For Life in Washington, DC.
EDUCATION
The Friends For Life occasionally host guest speakers who present the pro-life perspective on a range of topics including abortion, the death penalty, euthanasia, etc. We also inform the Parish of the fetal growth and development of our spiritually adopted children.
SOCIAL SUPPORT
The Friends For Life support the efforts of the Catholic Charities Care Center, the local crisis pregnancy center. Once a year we host a Baby Shower, collecting gifts of new or gently used baby items which are then donated to the women and children served by the Care Center

Friends For Life meet the third Monday of the month at 4:30 PM in the Commons. You are welcome to join us!
