Prayer Groups
Catholics pray alone. They also pray in large groups at Mass. Many Catholics often find their strongest moments of prayer in small groups with a few other believers. Small-group prayer is very flexible so that, much of what is done in private prayer or at Mass (with the exception of the Eucharist) can also be done in small groups. Beyond this, there's the flexibility to go from one way of praying to another, which keeps giving different expressions to our small-collective relationship with God. Each group develops its own rhythm, style, schedule, and history.
METANOIA Charismatic Prayer Group meets on Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. Metanoia gathers to give praise to Jesus as Lord, as the Holy Spirit inspires, and to build up the Body of Christ. Beginning with inspirational songs, we praise God in song, witness, and scripture; and usually have a presentation, followed by intercessory prayer and petitions.
Metanoia is all about turning ourselves continually towards God in ongoing transformation with the help of the Holy Spirit, Scripture, God's gifts, and loving support from one another. We offer individual prayers as well when requested.
