The Legion of Mary Ministry

Saint Bede Legion of Mary Ministry was initiated in 2007. Members humbly strive to develop greater spirituality while practicing spiritual works of mercy in our parish for our Pastor. Deacon Francis Roettinger is our Spiritual Director.
The Work of St. Bede’s Legion of Mary Ministry includes:
- Delivering a spiritual gift package to parents of the newly baptized.
- Pilgrim Virgin Home Visitation
for parishioners who would like to have a week of private devotional worship with family and friends - Home Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart in Your Home means giving Our Lord the first place in our hearts and in our family life. Devotion to Mary's Heart has a prime importance, for through love of her Son and all of humanity she exercises a unique instrumentality in bringing us to him.
- Visitation of area nursing homes and homebound to pray and offer spiritual support to supplement the efforts of the Joy Ministry
There are two membership categories:
- Active Members meet weekly every Friday at 1:30 PM in the conference room at St. Bede Church for at least one hour.
- Auxiliary Members are the praying wing of the Legion. Auxiliary members collectively support the Legion of Mary through their daily praying of the rosary.
